Update 2nd December

Firstly, U14 Garda Cup
Semi-Final Strokestown 1-05 Boyle 1-10
Final Boyle 3-06 Michael Glaveys\Eir Og
Our U14 boys lost out on the Garda Cup Final on Saturday morning to a strong Glaveys\Eir Og team in Abbey Park.  The lads put up a spirited performance against this year’s U14 Div 1 Championship winners.  Boyle progressed to final by beating Strokestown on their own turf under the lights on Tuesday with a fine 2 10 to 2 05 win. Boyle went into this final knowing the strength of their opponents, but their opponents were too strong in the end ran out deserved winner on a 3 06 to 5 10 scoreline.
Cooney Motors kindly hosted the U14 squad in their fine new restaurant as they fed and watered the players and coaches that brought a close too busy season for the boys. The lads were presented with new tops that were kindly sponsored by Cooney Motors.
Boyle GAA would like to thank once again Cooney Motors for their generous support to the U14 squad and all of Boyle GAA throughout the season gone.

U20 Division 3 Semi-Final KIlbirde   Boyle 2-11 St Ciarans 1-18
Boyle and St Ciaran congested this Div 3 semi-final in Kilbride on a cold and crisp Saturday night. In the early stages of the first half both teams traded off points to keep the match tight to call.  Later on, in the 1st half Boyle scored two goals to put a 6 point gap between and went into the break with the 6 point margin.  Most of the game Boyle kept this 6-point gap as both teams continued to trade points but the Boyle goals providing cushion to our lads.  With 10 minutes left St Ciaran’s upped their game and with a goal and unanswered points they got themselves in front by 4 points and held on to lead to book themselves a place in the Div 3 final at the expenses of our lads

On one of our biggest achievements to date Un underage for all where our Corrib Oil Boyle sponsored Minor Girls defeated Clann na nGael on a scoreline of 3-05 to 2-07 to win the Division One Minor Championship.
Congratulations to all involved!
