Update 20th April

The Abbey Park, which is usually a hive of activity at this time of year, lies silent. Passing by it now it is easy to recall many great memories, and as it basks in this glorious weather it prompts us to now remember those that that have passed on.

We therefore extend our condolences to the McKenna family on the sad and tragic passing of Ciara.

Further, we remember Edwin "Junior" Dooley who graced the pitch with such aplomb as a player in the late sixties and seventies.

Finally we extend our sympathy to our neighbours St. Ronans on the passing of Canon Peadar Lavin (An tAthair Peadar Ó Láimhin), who passed away peacefully recently. He was well known as our Parish Priest and as the former principal at St. Mary’s College in Boyle. He is fondly remembered and will be sadly missed. Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís.
