Update 20th July

The following were €20 winners at the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in Daly’s;- Martin Henry, Mary and Liam Clifford, Loyola Kelly, John McGuinn, Kay Mullaney and Micheál O Reilly. The house prize was won by Daniel Quinn. The jackpot wasn’t won and it will be worth €9,300 for next Saturday night’s draw which will be held in the Moylurg Inn with Team C in charge.
It is a busy time on the playing fields at all age levels.

The U12 Division 4 team played out a well earned draw with Roscommon Gaels in Lisnamult on Friday evening last in the Summer Football League. The U12 Division 1 team will travel to Kiltoom on this Tuesday evening to take on St Brigids in the Summer League ay 7.30pm.

The U14 Division 1 team lost to a much stronger Strokestown in the Championship in the Abbey Park on Thursday last. Their next outing is a trip to Johnstown on this Thursday evening to play Clan na Gael at 7.30pm. The U14 Division 4 team is scheduled to play St Croans, also on Thursday evening at 7.30pm in Enfield.

The James Lannon Motors U16s had a good Division 4 Championship win over Clan na Gael in monsoon like conditions in the Abbey Park on Saturday.

The National Automation Limited minors will play Roscommon Gaels in the Division 2 League in the Abbey Park on this Wednesday at 7.30pm

The Cooney Motors/Cooney’s Centra Juniors suffered a disappointing defeat to Kilmore in the Junior B Championship in Kilmore on Friday evening.

The McGovern Directional Drilling Seniors had a great win over St Brigids in the O’Rourke Cup in Kiltoom on Wednesday last. They will travel to Strokestown to take on the local team in the next round of this competition at 8pm on the Wednesday evening.

All Team Managers are reminded that the main playing pitch in the Abbey Park will remain closed to training until further notice to enable it to recover from recent adverse weather and recent heavy usage, and to ensure that the surface is suitable for the many games that are scheduled for the coming weeks.

The Club extends it sympathy to the Keenan families ,Ballinameen and Boyle and the Hatter family, Boyle on recent bereavements.


Ladies Club; Well done to Roscommon U16 lades who defeated Cavan in the All Ireland Semi Final.  All Ireland final on 29th July, venue tbc.  Boyle host Elphin in the Sean Daly Memorial  Cup on Tuesday at 7.30. Green Street Veterinary sponsored ladies play Shannon Gaels on Saturday at 6pm in Croghan, Round 3 in Intermediate Championship
