Update 17th August

The following were €20 winners at the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in Dodds ;- Dessie McLoughlin, Liam Mullaney, Peter Gavican, David Monson, Marita McQuaid and Claremorris Scouts. The house prize was won by Kieran Spellman. The jackpot wasn’t won and it will be at €9,500 for the next draw which will be held on Saturday night in Bruno’s, with Team E in charge. Those who wish to be in with a chance of winning this record jackpot prize may purchase tickets in most businesses in Boyle during the coming week.

The McGovern Directional Drilling Seniors fought out a very exciting draw with St Croans in the fourth round of the Senior Championship in Hyde Park on Sunday. It was a game of fluctuating fortunes and a draw was perhaps a fair result. They are scheduled to play Strokestown in the final group game of the Senior Championship this coming weekend.

The Cooney Motors/ Cooney’s Centra Juniors suffered defeat to Fuerty in Mulhern Park, Fuerty on Tuesday last.
The U14s lost narrowly to Clan na Gael in the Division 4 Championship in the Abbey Park on Thursday.

The James Lannon Tyres minors had an impressive win over Strokestown in the Division 2 Championship in Strokestown on Friday.

Congratulations are extended to Kieran Supple (a member of the senior team management) and his wife Victoria, on the birth of their daughter Pippa.

The Club extends its thanks to the mentors and parents who helped in many ways to make Saturday’s U8 Football Blitz in the Abbey Park such an outstanding success.

LADIES FOOTBALL

The Green Street Veterinary Clinic Intermediate Ladies will host St Ciarans on Saturday in the final round of the group section of the Intermediate Championship on Saturday at 7pm in the Abbey Park.
The Minor Girls will play Strokestown in the Abbey Park at 7pm on Thursday.  They lost to Shannon Gaels in Croghan on Friday last.
The U14 Girls will play Eire Óg in Division A of the Championship in the Abbey Park at 7pm on Wednesday and they will travel to Kilbride to play the home side on Sunday next at 6pm.

Go raibh maith agaibh.
