Terry and Fiona Mattimoe and David Gallagher were €20 winners in the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in Creightons. Trish Murtagh was the winner of the house prize. The jackpot wasn’t won and it will be at €1,400 for this Saturday’s night’s draw which will be held in Daly’s. Team D will be in charge.

The highlight of the week on they playing fields was the excellent performance of our McGovern Directional Drilling seniors on winning the Hodson Bay Hotel Group County Quarter Final against St Faithleachs in Kilglass on Sunday. They will be looking forward to meeting St Brigids in the County Semi Final on Sunday 2nd October. Thanks to all who went along to Kilglass to support the lads-it is greatly appreciated.

LADIES FOOTBALL:

The minors were defeated by Clan na nGael in the Division one semi-final on Saturday last. Special thanks to all players and management for a great season. The U14s went down to a stronger St. Brigids in championship on Friday last.

The Sean Daly Cup final was held in the Abbey Park on Saturday last, Castlerea and Elphin/Kilmore contested the final. Sean Daly was one of the founder members of Boyle Ladies club and after his untimely passing the Daly family donated a cup to the Boyle Ladies club to be used in competitions for the promotion of ladies football at underage level. We were delighted to host the competition again this year. congratulations to Elphin / Kilmore on a great win.
