Update 25th May
The U-12 Division 5 team had a good win over St. Barry's on
a score line of 4-05 V 1-07. The U-12 Division 2 are scheduled to play Oran
Wednesday evening @ 7:30pm in the Abbey Park.
The Abbey Park is the venue next Sunday the 31st (not Sat the 30th as previously advertised) for a
championship double header, St. Ronan's play Eire Og in the intermediate
championship and Boyle meet Elphin in the Senior championship. Please check
roscommongaa.ie or the fixtures section in the Roscommon Herald for times.
All club members are asked to make themselves available for stewarding and to
assemble at least an hour before the start of the 1st game.
Well done to all involved in the Roscommon victory over
London in the Ruislip.
The club are now running a used clothes collection
and you can contact any club official for more information, the deadline is the
20th of June.
The Club Rossie draw deadline is Friday 29th of May.

the Abbey Park on Tuesday (26 May 2015) at 7:30pm.

Update 18th May
Hi All,
In the absence of our PRO Shane Spellman, I’m in charge of the Club Notes this week.
Boyle U12s had an exciting one point win over Strokestown in Strokestown on Friday evening in the U12 Spring League, Division 2. They will be in action again on Saturday next in the Abbey Park in the next round of this competition when they will take on Oran at 5pm. The U12 Division 5 team will play St Barrys also on Saturday evening in Boyle at 6pm.
The U14 teams lost to St Brigids in both the Division 1 and Division 4 games in Kiltoom on Thursday evening last.
The Lannon Motors/ Hankook Tyres U16s commenced their Division 4 Championship campaign wit a good win over St Ronans in Ballyfarnon on Friday evening last.
The Cooney Motors/ Cooney’s Centra Juniors also commenced their Junior B Championship campaign with a convincing win over St Faithleachs in the Abbey Park on Friday evening last. This game made history in the fact that two female umpires officiated. Thanks to Kathleen Hanmore and Mary Smith who answered the call and thus made their own bit of history.
The U10 Community Games team is scheduled to play Ardcarne (St Michaels) in the Abbey Park in the coming week. Date and time to be determined.
Don’t forget to look at the club website www.boylegaa.com to see how the almost 400 participants in the “Know Your Sport” sports prediction competition are progressing.
The Club is making another appeal to those who have been participating by means of direct debit in the Club Lotto, to check that their direct debits are correct and fully activated.
Those who have not yet subscribed to Club Rossie are advised to do so immediately as the draw will take place very shortly.
The Club is holding a used clothes collection in mid June and those who wish to dispose of such clothes are advised to contact Club officers to arrange to have them taken for storage in the Clubroom.
The Clubs (Male and Ladies Clubs) are pleased to announce that it will be participating in Operation Transformation, which will commence circa August.
Best wishes to Roscommon Seniors as they embark on the Connacht Championship against London in Ruislip on Sunday next.

Well done to the U12 Girls who had a narrow win over a strong Elphin team at the weekend. Congratulations to the Girls Primary School team which has qualified for the Co.Roscommon Primary Schoolssemi finals after great performances in Woodmount on Friday.
Well done to the Senior Ladies on their league win over St Marys in Tulsk on Sunday. They are now preparing for their championship which will commence in July.
Best wishes to Boyle Ladies player Nicole McDermott who gets married in the coming weekend.

Update 11th May
The following were €20 winners in the most
recent Club Lotto draw which was held Patrick’s Well;- James O’Boyle, Darren
O’Connor, Carmel and Gerard Tivnan, Sarah Daly, John Tighe and Ronan Smith. The
house prize was won by Laura Gannon. The jackpot wasn’t won and it will be at
€8,800 for this Saturday night’s draw which will be held in Kate Lavin’s. Team
C will be in charge.
Our U12s beat Castlerea on Bank Holiday
Monday in Castlerea and Elphin on Friday in the Abbey Park in the Division 2
Spring League. They are scheduled to play Strokestown in
Strokestown on Friday next at 7pm in the next round of this competition.
The U14s lost to Michael Glaveys in the
Division 4 League on Thursday. They are scheduled to meet St Brigids in Kiltoom
in the Division 1 and Division 4 League on this Thursday.
The James Lannon Motors/ Hankook Tyres
sponsored U16s won their Division 4 League Semi Final against a St Barrys/
Kilglass Gaels combination on Bank Holiday Monday in Abbey Park. However, they
went down to a physically stronger Michael Glaveys in the Final of this
competition on Saturday evening in the GAA Centre of Excellence in Ballyhaunis.
Well done to the lads and their young management team on getting to the final.
This will give them great confidence as they prepare for the upcoming
championship.
The Cooney Motors/Cooney’s Centra Juniors
had a good win over St Barrys in the Division 5 League on Bank Holiday Monday
in the Abbey Park. They will commence their Junior B Championship campaign on
this Friday at 7.45pm in the Abbey Park when they will entertain St
Faithleachs.
The McGovern Directional Drilling Seniors
suffered a five point defeat to Castlerea St Kevins in the Senior Championship
on Sunday in Castlerea. Their next outing will be at home to Elphin on 31st May.
Congratulations to former Boyle player
Michael Birmingham and his bride Cathy Conroy who got married on Saturday last.
It is now nearing the deadline for
entering the Club Rossie Draw. Those who were members in previous years have
already been notified by post and those who haven’t yet re-joined are
currently being contacted. New or re-joining members may contact
Mike Junior Smith or any Club officer.
Those who have not yet rectified their
direct debit arrangements for the Club Lotto competition are urged to do so
immediately. New members are also very welcome and with the jackpot at the
current level of €8,800, it could be very rewarding to do so.
Those who are participants in the
Club’s “Know Your Sport” sports prediction competition will be interested to
know that performances are updated regularly on Boylegaa.com as each relevant
sporting event is ended. Tony Conboy and John Comiskey are currently joint
leaders, but all entrants are still very much in the race for the €800 on
offer.
The Club is currently arranging a used
clothes collection. You are asked to do a spring clean and put your no longer
required clothes in bags and contact any Club officer to arrange to have
them deposited in the Clubroom.

Update 4th May
First silverware of the year collected by National Automation Limited Minors who won the Division 3 league by defeating Kilbride in Tulsk on Friday evening. They had won the semi-final earlier in the week when they travelled to Ballyforan and overcame a strong St Aidan’s. Their league win means that they are promoted to Division 2 for championship purposes. They have a bye in the first round of the championship, which means that they won’t see championship action until late June. Congratulations to the boys and the management team.
U12s beat Kilmore in the Division 5 Spring League in the Abbey Park on Friday. They will play Elphin in the next round of this competition on Friday next in the Abbey Park at 7pm.
The U14 Division 4 team lost to St Croan’s in their league outing in Boyle on Thursday. They are scheduled to play Michael Glaveys in their next game in this competition in Abbey Park on Thursday next at 7pm.
U16s beat a spirted Kilglass Gaels/Tarmonbarry team in the league semi-final on Bank Holiday Monday.
The Cooney Motors/ Cooney’s Centra Juniors defeated a strong St. Barry’s outfit in the Division 5 league. Their next outing is Junior B Championship first round versus St. Faithleachs on Friday the 15th of May at 8pm in the Abbey Park.
The McGovern Directional Drilling Seniors will commence their 2015 Senior Championship campaign on Sunday next in O’Rourke Park at 3.30pm against Castlerea, St Kevins. Maximum support will be appreciated for this important fixture.
