Update 19th November
Boyle Ladies notes.
Super finale to the Ladies season with both the U16s and the Minors winning County titles in pulsating finals, each winning their final by a single point. The hearts of the supporters were truly tested!
The U16 girls beat Clann na nGael in the Division 1A Championship last Tuesday in Tarmonbarry on a scoreline of 3-06 to 3-05, played in very tough conditions. There was immense work rate from both teams but a great team performance, under the management of Kieran McKeon and coaches Adrian Brogan & Martina Casey resulted in a deserved win for Boyle. It was a great win for the club, being the first ever Division 1A title at any age group.
Prior to the match the girls were presented with training tops sponsored by Beat the Bounce, Bouncy Castles (& Jump St. Carrick) and Joe Simon Home, Garden and Build.
The Minor Ladies followed suit on Sunday beating St. Brigids (3-13 to 5-06) in the Division 2A final. The game was end to end with Boyle's last minute goal giving the team a victory. Well done to the girls on a great performance and to the management team of Vinnie Flanagan, Damien Regan and Suzi Keenahan.
Thanks to all the players, coaches and all who helped throughout the year for their dedication and commitment. A special word of thanks to our Sponsors for their generosity and to the Roscommon Herald, Boyle Today and Realboyle for their publicity. A sincere thanks also to the parents and all who supported the teams at all age levels.
Looking forward to a bright 2019.
The lads u 20 team were comprehensive
beaten by a strong st Kevin's team at the weekend.

A very successful careers information night was held in The Clubrooms on Friday night. The idea to arrange such an event was part of Coaching Officer Stephen Bohan's plan for 2018. On Friday night an attentive audience of young players, male and female and parents from within the Club and from neighbouring clubs listened to presentations from twelve people who are pursuing careers in a wide variety of areas. The audience was given an honest and comprehensive account of what it takes to pursue different career paths, the different routes one can take to achieve career goals and an overview of the challenges and opportunities that each career can bring
Club Chairperson. Kathleen Hanmore opened proceedings by welcoming everyone to the event and explained the thinking behind the evening. Siobhan Gallagher was MC on the night and introduced all of the speakers , giving a brief outline of their career path

Finally
Careers Advisory Evening at Boyle GAA Club, (Friday November 9th at 8.30 pm in the club house and all welcome).
Boyle GAA are planning a Careers Evening on Friday 9th November at 8.30pm in the GAA club house. This is a new initiative offering our young players and their friends in the Community an opportunity to hear about College life and apprenticeships and the trials and tribulations of further education and training.
Our own locals who have tread the paths will be there to answer any questions, and we hope the evening will inform, inspire and give the opportunity to young people to hear more about further education and training-the varied routes /colleges chosen /challenges / and career options that are available to them.
Boyle GAA invite all 15-18 year olds and their parents (if they wish) to come along and hear the short presentations from a variety of professional and skilled young people who have chosen different career paths.
The unknown for many can bring excitement, but for others fear, thus hearing about college, apprenticeships and opportunities from those that have pursued these routes, will encourage our young people to aspire to achieve their full potential in their chosen career/interests.
