Update 30th November

The Club Lotto draw which was to have been held at the weekend has been postponed until Saturday night next in Wynnes. Team B will be in charge and we have a record jackpot of €10,200.
The highlight of the past weekend was the two goal victory by our U14s over Castlerea St. Kevins in the Garda Cup Final which was played in Abbey Park on Sunday. It was a credit to both teams that they played some excellent football despite  the weather conditions. They have their biggest day of the year coming up on Saturday next when they will play Tulsk in the Garda Cup Final in the Abbey Park at 1pm. We urge all parents and supporters to come along and support the boys. We also request club members to be in position as stewards from 11.30am.

All who have been given tickets to sell for the GAA National Draw are asked to return the counterfoils and money to the Treasurer immediately.

Preparations are under way for the Club’s social event of the year--the Christmas Quiz, which will take place in St Joseph’s Hall on Sunday night 27th December. This is always a great night and we ask that it be placed in your diaries.

The Annual General Meeting of Boyle GAA Club (male club) will be held in the Clubroom on Sunday next 6th December at 5pm. The Club provides football for all age groups from age 6 to adult. This is the opportunity to take stock where the Club is at and to have your say in its future. We ask everyone who has an interest in Gaelic Games in Boyle to come along. especially the parents of our many underage players.

Boyle Ladies Club will hold its church gate collection this coming weekend. Your generous support would be appreciated as the club caters for girls football in all age categories from six to adult

Thanks to the organising committee who prepared a comprehensive seven week programme of events which included morning and evening walks, circuit training, fitness sessions, pilates, yoga and talks on health and wellbeing. Thanks to the team leaders who facilitated all events and to Kelly’s Londis for their greatly appreciated sponsorship. Hopefully those who participated will continue with their keep fit habits and that many will join local pilates, fitness and yoga classes. It is hoped that an even bigger fitness initiative will be organised next year.
