LOTTO

The Lotto was drawn in The Well on Sunday, December 17, 2022 for €17,000. The numbers drawn were 8, 10, 11 & 26.

Our match three winners were Claire Toman and Martin Hanmore; special draw winners were Eugene Halligan and Dermot Garvin; house prize sponsored by The Well, Eddie Heslin, and was won by Jimmy Flaherty - the jackpot was not won. 

The jackpot now rolls to €17,100 and the next draw will take place online on Saturday, December 24. 

Lotto tickets are available at our local outlets in Elphin Street Dry Cleaners, Londis, Better Buy & Spar (Corrib Oil). They’re also available online on the Klub Funder website by searching Boyle GAA. Thanks to all the shops, businesses, and pubs around the town for having us - we greatly appreciate it!   

AROUND THE CLUB

Last minute prezzies: Why not gift a ticket to the Boyle GAA / LGFA Dinner Dance which takes place on Saturday, January 14 in Kilronan Castle, drinks reception from 7.15pm. Tickets are €45 and are on sale via Klubfunder (link on Facebook). Tickets also available from committee members and at Boyle GAA Clubhouse on Thursday 22nd December 7-8pm and Saturday 7th January 12-1pm – after which tickets will not be available. Be sure to grab your ticket as they’ll be in high demand this year with a presentation for both the Intermediate Ladies and Senior Men. 

Christmas Quiz: Fancy your odds in the annual Boyle GAA Table Quiz? There’s always a bit of craic on the night and some of the knowledge gained from lockdown quizzes will have to stand to you! Join us in St Joseph’s Hall on Thursday, December 29, 2022 - gather your team and stick it in the diary - otherwise it’s just another one of those muddled days between St Stephen’s Day & New Years. See ye there !

Festive season: Wishing all of our members and supporters a peaceful break and a joyful New Year. We hope to see some of ye over the break at our annual quiz.

Update 12th December

LOTTO

The Lotto was drawn online on Sunday, December 11, 2022 for €16,900. The numbers drawn were 5, 6, 23 & 26.

Our match-three winners were Denise Ryan, Mike Jnr Smith, Ann Clarke and Katerina Fitzpatrick - the jackpot was not won. 

The jackpot now stands at a whopping €17,000. The next draw (along with the special Christmas draw) will take place in The Well on Sunday, December 11.

RESULTS & FIXTURES

- Our U15 Boys were narrowly defeated by Tulsk in the final of the McGlynn Cup in Tarmonbarry at the weekend. A late Tulsk goal was the deciding factor in a close encounter. This brings the season to a close for the team. A big thank you to the team and management for their commitment throughout the year - they really appreciated all of the supporters joining them also. Team: Zach Smith, Ben Kilroy, Ben Sheerin, Luke Kelly, Ruadhán Kennedy, Cathal Garavan, Cillian Kenny, George O’Connor, Aaron Corrigan, Kelvin Gaffney, Kyran Downes, Kevin O’Dowd, Paddy Sharkey, Daithi McKeon, Ryan MacPherson, Alex Keogan, Edwin George. 

- The Garda Cup Final due to be played in Abbey Park on Sunday, December 11 was unfortunately postponed due to the pitch being frozen. Fixture details to follow for this game between St Kevin’s and St Croan’s / Oran.

- Baby Blessings: Hearty congratulations to Roch and his partner Lorna on welcoming their third child into the world. As a house already so involved in the club we look forward to seeing him at many club activities in the future.

- Plant the Planet: Roisin Wynne, member of the Boyle and Roscommon Intermediate Ladies panels has given us an update on her incredible trip to Kenya with the Warriors for Humanity - head over to Facebook / Instagram to see the full write up, you may also spot Mairead Colgan, another Boyle woman, along with Ultan Harney in the photos!

CONDOLENCES 

The club wishes to extend condolences to the O’Connor family on the death of Saran, and also to the Finn and Keenan families on Finola’s passing.

The Lotto was drawn online on Sunday December 4, 2022 for €16,800. The numbers drawn were 4, 6, 11 & 28.

We had no match three winners and the jackpot was not won. The jackpot now stands at another milestone of €16,900. The next draw will take place live on Facebook on Sunday December 11 at 9pm.

RESULTS & FIXTURES

Well done to our U15 Boys team who defeated Strokestown on Sunday to qualify for the McGlynn Cup Final. A strong second-half performance was key to the win over the home side. Goals were the order of the day in an entertaining and open game that produced 19 green flags! Details for the final will be shared on our social channels in due course.

St Kevin’s will meet St Croan’s / Oran in the Garda Cup Final in the Abbey Park on Sunday, December 11 at 1.30pm.

UCD Men: Daire Cregg and Cathal Feely lined out with UCD last Wednesday for the Electric Ireland Higher Education Ryan Cup Final. After a tense game of football they were defeated by a strong Maynooth side on the night.

Sigerson Cup Panel Announcements: Great news for some of our club men this week. Cathal Feely and Daire Cregg have been named on the UCD team, whereas Luke Glennon has been named for DCU - well-done lads!
