 Lotto Results 

The Online Lotto was drawn on the 24th April 2022 for €13,600.   

The numbers drawn were 10, 20, 26 and 28.

Match 3 Winner this week were Cillian Conboy and Gary Wynne.

Match Results 

Cooney Motors Junior Men were narrowly defeated by St. Faithleach’s in the League, final score 4-06 to 2-10

U13 Boys were defeated by Western Gaels in the Division 4 League

U13 Boys defeated Elphin-Ballinameen in the Divison 2 League, final score 3-06 to 2-08

U15 Boys were defeated by Kilglass/ St. Barry’s in the Division 3 League.

U12 Girls defeated Eire Óg in the League.

U14 Girls begin league campaign against Roscommon Gaels on Thursday, 28th April at 7pm.

U15 Girls and Management had a great campaign in the Division 2 County Féile reaching the semi-finals, only to be defeated by Shannon Gaels. 

 

County Representatives 

Hard luck to Conor Kelly, Mark Halligan, Cathal McKeon and the Roscommon Minor team on their defeat to Galway in the Connacht Championship. Roscommon play Mayo on Friday, 29th April at Dr. Hyde Park at 7pm.

Congratulations to Róisín and Saoirse Wynne, who were part of the Roscommon Ladies that defeated Sligo in the Connacht LGFA Intermediate Championship. They play Clare on Saturday, 30th April in their next game. Best of luck to all!

Also next Saturday, 30th April, best of luck to Donal and Enda Smith and Cian McKeon, who will be part of the Roscommon team for the Connacht Championship semi-final with Sligo at Markievicz Park (5pm throw-in time). Tickets can be purchased online, Kelly’s Supervalu in Boyle or any Supervalu in county Sligo and Roscommon.

 

Rise & Shine Superstars 

Our Nursery programme will be kicking off on Monday, 9th May - running for 8 weeks, from 5:30pm - 6:15pm. Registration is now open on www.foireann.ie for 4 and 5-year-olds - your child must be at least 4 on the starting date. Note that 6 yr old boys are encouraged to register with the U7s boys team, and 6 yr old girls may wish to register with the U8 girls team or stay with the nursery group. Darkness Into Light

The Darkness Into Light walk returns on the morning of 7th May. The event organisers are looking for marshals to assist on the morning. Contact the club via its social media channels and your contact details will be passed on.

Match Results 

McGovern Civils Senior Men were narrowly defeated by St Dominic’s in the League, final score 0.16 to 2.11 

Our U15 Girls and Management had a great campaign in the Division 2 County Feile. When nptes submitted  they were through to the Semi-Final against Shannon Gaels after a strong win against Oran.  

U17 Boys were defeated by St Aidan’s in Div 2 of the League 

U15 Boys were narrowly defeated by Strokestown in the League 

U13 Div 4 Boys were defeated by Roscommon Gaels in the League 

U20 Connacht Championship 

Hard luck to Daire & Oisín Cregg, and Cathal on their narrow defeat against Sligo.

The Well and M Kerins sponsored Intermediate Ladies had a decisive win over St Mary’s in Div 2 of the League 

U17 Boys were defeated by Kilmore/Shannon Gaels in Div 2 of the League  

U16 Girls were defeated by Northern Harps in Div 2 of the League 

U15 Boys had a great win over St Faithleach’s in Div 3 of the League 

U13 Div 2 Boys were narrowly defeated by Kilmore/Shannon Gaels on a score line of 1.10 to 1.05 

The U12 Girls had a good win over Western Gaels in Round 2 of the League 

The Cooney Motors Junior Men did not play their game versus Elphin. 

U20 Roscommon Connacht Championship 

Best of luck to brothers Daire & Oisín Cregg, and cousin Cathal Feely as they line out with Roscommon against Sligo in the U20 Championship Semi-Final on Wednesday, April 13 at 6.30pm in Markievicz Park. Our very own Mickey McGrath is part of the back-roomteam as well!  The game will be streamed live on TG4 but we’re sure the lads would appreciate seeing some Club representatives cheering them on from the stands!  

O’Rourke Cup 

The McGovern Civils Boyle Seniors will play St Dominics this Saturday the 16th of April in Abbey Park at a later time of 6.45pm.

Match Results 

The McGovern Civils Senior Men opened their League versus Western Gaels in the Connacht GAA Air Dome on Saturday, unfortunately it was not our day, but there is great promise in the strength of the team at this stage in their campaign. Next O’Rourke Cup game is in Abbey Park on Easter Saturday against St Dominics. 

 U16 Girls had a well deserved win over Shannon Gaels in Div 2 of the League. 

 After a great comeback our U15 Boys were defeated by Western Gaels in the League on a scoreline of 4.15 - 4.09. Team Listing: Z Smith, C Garavan, T. Sheridan, B. Sheerin, K. Kenny, R. Kennedy, E. Our Div 2 U13 Boys were defeated by St Ciaran’s in the League.  

U12 Girls will reschedule their game versus Kilbride in the League, more to follow.

Roscommon do the Double 

Congratulations to our club representatives Cian McKeon, Donie and Enda Smith, and all involved with the Roscommon team that won Division Two of the Allianz Football League following a victory over Galway on Sunday. All three were central to the victory with Cian scoring 0-02 and as well as captaining the side, Donie helping himself to 0-05. Enda was named on the Team of the League on the Sunday Game, and the stats from the league campaign tally to the following: Cian, 1.14 - 1 mark; Donie, 1.29 - 17 frees and Enda, 3.08 - 1 penalty bringing our Division 2 winners haul to 4 in 8 years. 

Congratulations are also in order for all involved with the Roscommon Intermediate LGFA team, especially our dynamic duo, Roísín & Saoirse Wynne! They overcame Wexford in the Division 3 Final in the Lidl Ladies National League which gifts them promotion into Division 2 next year.

Condolences 

The Club would like to extend sincere condolences to Dan, Richard, Aileen, Donal, Neil, Karl, Marcus, and all of the extended Kennedy and Kelly families on the passing of Olive. May her gentle soul rest in peace. 

Boyle GAA would like to offer our deepest sympathies to the family, friends, colleagues, teammates of Red Óg Murphy. Each and every one of you are in our thoughts and prayers.
