Boyle GAA COVID 1900km Challenge

Background: As our club activities are currently suspended, Boyle GAA decided to launch a fundraising campaign in aid of the local Brothers of Charity, to get people moving and to raise funds for a local worthwhile cause. Our aim was to ask people to firstly donate to the gofundme page (www.gofundme.com/f/boyles-covid-1900-km-challenge), and thereafter track the distance of any walk/run made during the month of May. You only need to donate once. Jackie Valentine is the club coordinator, and the distance walked/run is sent to her by text (086 320 0915). The distance will not be added to the total unless at least one donation to the gofundme page is made. Our target was to run/walk 1900km collectively in May.

Update: Boyle GAA has easily surpassed the target and as of the 22nd May we have exercised for a total of 3,338 km, raising €3,349.00 for the Brothers of Charity! Thanks so much to everyone who has donated so far for what is a very worthwhile cause. Let's keep this great work up and please continue to spread the word about the fundraising challenge. It’s not to late to join in, as we've decided to set two further targets to achieve. Let's try to get to 4,000 km collectively in the month of May and raise €4,000 for the Brothers of Charity!

Remember - we're here to help!
