Update 26th March

It was a busy week on the pitch this weekend with many of the Boyle teams victorious.
Firstly the McGovern Directional Drilling sponsored team travelled to Enfield to take on St. Croans in the second game of the league. Boyle got off to an unconvincing start and trailed by 3 points at half time. The second half was a far more spirited performance with Boyle clawing back to going ahead towards the end of the second half. The most notable scores of the match for Boyle came through wing back Dylan East who stood confident in scoring two penalties. Congratulations to Senior league debutants Ryan Finneran, Jack Moran, and Seamus Kane.
The minor lads had a good win in the Abbey Park Sunday also. They took on Western Gaels in their second game of the Division 3 league. Two early goals in the first 10 minutes gave the lads a great platform. Boyle continued to press in the first half with a further 5 points to go in half time with 2.5 to 3 score line. Boyle carried on the second half like the first and put another 5 points on the score board. Western Gaels fought back near the end to narrow Boyle's lead but the win was never in doubt. Boyle ran out winners with a 3.10 to 1.7 scoreline. The same team play away to St. Michaels on Good Friday at 6.00pm.

On the ladies front, following two previous wins in the championship the U16 ladies lost to Elphin/Kilmore. The next match is home to Four Roads on the 16th of April.

The  U 12s are away to Elphin/Kilmore in their first league match on Monday 2nd of April.
Congratulations also to Enda, Donal, Cian and Tadgh who all played their part in Roscommon's promotion back to division 1 football.

Finally the Junior team is back in action next week with many "veterans" set to make a welcome return. This match is due to take place Saturday evening the 31st at 5.30 in the Abbey Park.
