U11s on Tour !

Over 30 young footballers (U11) from Boyle GAA made the trip to Croke Park yesterday to partake in the Connacht GAA Go Games Blitz. What an amazing experience for these young players who made 2 teams, with each team playing 3 games against teams from other clubs in the province. A stadium tour followed. Both players and coaches are so thankful to Connacht GAA and Roscommon GAA for the opportunity. The day was excellently put together and the individual organisers were so accommodating in ensuring the young players got to experience all that Croke park offers. We are truly thankful and it is a day they will never forget!

𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐞 𝐌𝐜𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐧, 𝐀 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞

All of us in Boyle GAA were shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Dessie McLoughlin

He was a key member of the 1981 Roscommon Minor Connacht Championship winning team and he starred on many Boyle teams throughout the 80’s and 90’s, including the 1983 and 1996 Intermediate County Championship winning teams

First and foremost, Dessie was a family man. He loved his wife Margaret, his children Kyle, Ben and Gina, his parents (Martin RIP and Nuala), his siblings and his grandchildren. Their loss is irreplaceable and no words can help with your grief, nor can they express how much we will all be thinking of you and praying for you in the coming days, weeks, months and years.

Boyle lost one of it’s great sons. His energy and love for Boyle, it’s clubs and it’s people will be sorely missed.
