Update 2nd July

The Cooney motors sponsored Junior team continued their winning ways in Championship when they travelled to Tulsk on a warm Friday evening. Boyle had a massive panel once again but Tulsk could only field 13 players so Boyle had to go like wise. Boyle had plenty of opportunities in the first half but poor shot selection at times left them winning at half time 1.8 to 7. Of course fitness and a string bench was always going to be a big factor in this game and the flood gates opened up in the second half when Boyle run out comfortable winners at 1.12 to 6.18. Top scorer on the day was L Conboy with 1.7 while S Battles got 2 goals and a goal each by C Deery, K Morris and Marc O Connor. Boyles team on the was was as follows. J McCrann, A Simon, C Horan, J Moran, Mark O Connor, R Conroy, T Halligan, J Suffin, S Battles, Marc O Connor, J Boulger, L Conboy and D Kelly. They not have another Championship game in the Abbey Park this Sunday at 2 pm v St. Aidan's.

Of course this was a busy week for the u 14 Feile team who represented the club brilliantly over a number of days. A more comprehensive report can be got else where in the Hearld but results were as follows

Feile Peile na nOg 2018

Group Stages

Rounds 1 RGU Downpatrick 2:2 Boyle 2:7

Round 2  Thomas Davis (Tallaght)  3:2 to 3:3

Round 3 Loughlinisland 1:4 Boyle 4:12

¼ Final Div 4  Boyle 3:7 Tullylish (Down) 2:2
