Roscommon do the Double

Congratulations to our club representatives Cian McKeon, Donie and Enda Smith, and all involved with the Roscommon team that won Division Two of the Allianz Football League following a victory over Galway on Sunday. All three were central to the victory with Cian scoring 0-02 and as well as captaining the side, Donie helping himself to 0-05. Enda was named on the Team of the League on the Sunday Game, and the stats from the league campaign tally to the following: Cian, 1.14 - 1 mark; Donie, 1.29 - 17 frees and Enda, 3.08 - 1 penalty bringing our Division 2 winners haul to 4 in 8 years.

Congratulations are also in order for all involved with the Roscommon Intermediate LGFA team, especially our dynamic duo, Roísín & Saoirse Wynne! They overcame Wexford in the Division 3 Final in the Lidl Ladies National League which gifts them promotion into Division 2 next year.

Around the Club

Our ‘Walk with Someone’ initiative is going strong, and as the evenings get brighter it will be easier to get into the habit of walking in the evenings. We will meet every Monday and Wednesday @ 7.45pm St Joseph’s Church Car Park. Everyone is welcome to join us - let’s get outside and maybe even meet some new people!

The Club would like to extend sincere condolences to Dan, Richard, Aileen, Donal, Neil, Karl, Marcus, and all of the extended Kennedy and Kelly families on the passing of Olive. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
