Update 31st October

Our National Automation Limited U20s lost out to a superior Elphin/Ballinameen combination in their first game of this year’s County Championship in Elphin on Saturday afternoon. Thanks to Shane Spellman and his management team for putting together a panel of promising young players. Thanks also to the lads who responded to the cause. The lads will be in action again on Sunday next when they will play Tulsk in Tulsk at 1 pm.

The Garda Cup and Keenan Cup competitions are ongoing. Boyle will host the Keenan Cup Final and it’s expected to be played in Abbey Park on Saturday week 12th November and the home team will be involved.

We are awaiting news of our first Garda Cup fixture.

The Club wishes to thank the following who have sponsored gear for our U12 footballers and their management; - John Filan Landscaping, Keville Engineering and XL Foodstore, Abbeytown, Boyle who have joined forces to sponsor shorts and socks for the players and training tops for the management team. Callan Tansey Solicitors, Boyle sponsored gear bags for the boys while Version 1, Dublin sponsored a new set of jerseys. At a photocall and reception in the Clubroom on Friday night last which was attended by the players and their parents and the sponsors, Club Chairperson, Martin Dolan thanked the sponsors for their generosity. Noel Casey, team manager expressed thanks on behalf of the players and management.

There are just 2 weeks left for joining our Club Lotto and earning five chances of winning 100 euro for doing so. This deadline will expire on 15th November and those wishing to set up direct debits should contact Aidan Lavin, James O’Boyle or any officer of the male or female clubs.
The Club sends its sincere congratulations to former Club player and current senior management team member Cian Smith and Michelle Garvin who got married on Friday last in Ballinameen. We wish them a long and happy married life together.

The Club extends its sympathy to the Beirne family, 1 Lower Marian Road on the death of Johnny Beirne. Johnny was a former Boyle footballer and a member of the Boyle 1964 County Junior Championship winning panel.
