There was no winner of this week's club Lotto jackpot. €20
winners were Marian McGovern, Ian Farrell and Robert Kielty. Next week's
jackpot is €3,400 and the draw will take place in Daly's bar.
Elsewhere in the pitch the senior team went down to
strong Padraig Pearses by 2 points. Boyle played well in the fist half and were
up 7 points to 4 thanks to some great scoring by Cian McKeon and Colin
Goldrick. Pearses came out of the blocks faster in the second half and Boyle
missed a couple of scorable chances early on. In the end it finished 13 points
to 11. Looking at the Boyle set up the management would be pleased with the
performance of the team as a group as well as some individual players especially
Cian McKeon who was a constant problem to the Pearses backs any time the ball
got into the full forward line. There was also fine performance from Evan Mc
Grath, Aaron Sharkey and some fine score taking by Colin Goldrick.
Many thanks to the club stalwarts so prepared the pitch
for the game, marshalled the traffic, swept and mopped the floors, collected
the flags post match etc. A special thanks also to Barry Lowe and Ann Costello
who feed the troops with very welcome warm sandwiches at half time.
There was a presentation of county medals to U16 and
Minor teams in the clubhouse last Saturday. Thanks to Donal and Enda for
presenting the Medals and thanks to all whom attended.
Congrats also to Roisin Wynne on a super performance
playing for the Roscommon ladies team who defeated Meath at the weekend.=
