The men’s junior team had their first championship game of the year on Saturday evening in the park. There was a great range of youth and experience for the team. New management of Stephen Tonry, Kevin Mullen and Mick Birmingham saw a panel of 23 players compared to mere 15 players for Furety. Boyle started the stronger and it wasn’t long before David Kelly scores the first of the teams 4 goals. Boyle’s win never looked in doubt and finished up 4.14 to 7 point winners. The bench was emptied with a full six subs coming on most notably Niall O'Donoughe and Shane Battles who returned to the Boyle team after a number of years absence. Boyle starting 15 were; D McGovern, C McGee, C Boylan, C Horan, J Regan, C Beirne, J Moran, P Lavin, T Halligan, C Brennan, R Hannon, D Kelly,
M O Connor, S Condon and J Boulger. They now face kilglas this Saturday evening at 6 in a double match if league and championship.
