Update 14th June

Club Lotto    

The Online Lotto was drawn on the 13th June for €9,200.
The numbers drawn were 8, 23, 29, 30
The jackpot was not won and now stands at €9,300 for next week’s draw, the 20th of June at 9pm.
We had 2 match 3 winner this week where Enda Smith and Marian McManemy sharing the €100 prize. Lotto tickets are only available online can be purchased on the Klub Funder website

Senior and Junior Club Fixtures 

The Boyle Juniors started their league on Saturday the 12th playing St Ronan’s at home ending in defeat.  Great to have games back and supporters at games again. Best for Boyle were Ben Kerins, David Callaghan, and Seamus Kane. There was a minute’s silence held in respect of the passing our St Ronan’s player Ronan Healy. 

Boyle Seniors will take on St Brigids in Kiltoom this Saturday evening in Kiltoom. Supporters, although restricted numbers have now been allowed to go to matches. 

Defibrillator conversation  

The Denmark v Finland Game televised on RTE at the weekend has reignited the importance of the availability and knowledge on the Defibrillator. Christian Erikson who collapsed on the field of play was quickly revived and brought back from the brink. 

The local Defib Map has been posted for our local area on Social Media and anyone who hasn’t seen it, please ask the question on your nearest one. Boyle GAA have one on the wall of the clubroom. 

Boys Underage

All boys youths teams are ramping up their training as season starts soon. Notably the u17's took to on two local rivals St Michaels and Western Gaels during the course of last week. Two worthy opponents and useful preparation ahead u17 summer campaign. 

Ladies Club 

The club was bustling with activity last week with three teams kicking off their league campaigns - U16 in Div 1, U14 in Div 1 and U12 in Div 2. Wishing all of our players and management the best for the much-anticipated season 

Local Club Fundraiser 

The Local club fundraiser has had a steady start to ticket sales and with numbers of tickets capped at 4000, they are moving. Sales are not only going county-wide but going worldwide as well and support for the Boyle Celtic and Boyle Gaa has been immense.

Really enjoying the community spirit in what is showing a town – a hometown. 

Not my cup of Tea 

Always remember if you aren’t someone’s cup of tea, it could mean your luck is in. 

A professional lobster diver has lived to tell the tale of inside the mouth of a humpback whale, after he was gulped up and spat out while diving off the coast of Cape Cod in the United States. He has lived to tell the….. ‘Whale’!

Club Lotto

A big thank you to everyone for their support of the Club Lotto. The Online Lotto was drawn on the 6th of June for €9,100 - the numbers drawn were 14, 25, 31 and 32. The Jackpot was not won, and so we have €9,200 rolling onto next weekend’s draw on the 13th of June at 9pm.

The master Fixtures have been released and circulated to the management and players. The league this year is split into 2 groups similar to the intercounty fixtures. 

First Senior League game is on the 19th of June against St Brigids in Kiltoom at 8pm 

For the Juniors, the first round of League starts on the 12th of June in Boyle against St Ronan’s at 7pm.

 

Boyle LGFA 

The Club is bustling with activity with all teams & management getting settled back - we love to see it! We would like to wish the best to three teams kicking off their League campaigns this week - U12s v Northern Harps in Div 2; U14s v Oran in Div 1; and U16s v Padraig Pearses in Div 1.

Roscommon GAA 

Our Seniors had a tough league campaign finishing strongly against Kerry but defeated by 6 points. They now face Armagh in the relegation semi-final. Winner takes it all and stays up in Division 1 and the beaten semi-finalists in both games will drop to Division 2 for 2022.
All to play for! Good luck to our men in the primrose and blue!

Boyle Ladies Club 

The Club wishes to remind members that players must be registered before returning to play and it can be completed online using Foireann (www.foireann.ie). There has been great interest in the nursery programme which will start in July and will run for 8 weeks - register now and more information will be issued closer to the start date. The Roscommon Intermediate Ladies Panel had another great win today v Down in the National League - well done to Club Players and sisters, Roisin & Saoirse Wynne.

Roscommon GAA

Hard luck to the Roscommon Senior team who were beaten by Galway on Sunday. Roscommon now face Kerry at home next weekend. Good luck to Cian McKeon, Donie and Enda Smith.  Roscommon will face a relegation playoff against the Division 1 Northside in the coming weeks.  

Boyle Ladies Club 

Boyle LGFA training has kicked off at all levels. Players must be registered before returning to play and it can be completed online using Foireann (www.foireann.ie). Club Training
All teams are now back training in what was a rewarding milestone in the current climate.
We ask all management and players to fill out your return to play online forms and hitting the resubmit button. Thanks to all the Covid officers for their diligence and hand sanitizing prior to training. 

Underage 
All teams are back training. Fixtures are due to be announced this coming week.

With restrictions easing, Boyle Ladies GAA (LGFA) are returning to play. Registration is now open for all age groups and this year it will be completed online using Foireann (www.foireann.ie). All players must be registered before they return to play. Also, hot of the press - the nursery programme will start in July and will run for 8 weeks - register now and more information will be issued closer to the start date. Looking forward to meeting our stars of the future.

Update 10th May

 Club Adult players return 

We are finally there, for full return to training this week under the current guidelines. We ask all adult players to complete registration before Tuesday.  

We're looking forward to seeing everyone back in Abbey Park this week. 

County League and Championship 2021 

League and Championship fixtures were released this week with League starting in mid-June and Championship in last week of August. O’Rourke Cup is split into 2 groups this year with top 2 teams in each group playing off in Semi Final. There will be no teams relegated. 

Club Championship will have same format as last year. More details to follow.

Abbey Park Host to First Game of 2021 

Boyle hosted a Roscommon challenge game in preparation for the Alliance football league starting next week. The game was held behind closed doors in line with Covid regulations. Special thanks to the Parks Committee and all the volunteers who had the Park in great condition. We look forward to hosting our county team again soon.

Boyle Ladies Club 

With restrictions easing, Boyle Ladies GAA (LGFA) are looking forward to returning to play in the next few weeks. In preparation for Return to Play, Registration is now open for all age groups and this year’s Registration will be completed online using Foireann. All players must be registered before they return to play. You can access the system using the link mentioned in the notes at the bottom. The guide to using foireann is on our Facebook Page. Healthy Clubs initiative

The Abbey Park is now promoting a smoke and vape-free area. Signs have been erected and strides have been taken to help people kick the habit while entering the Park.

Underage Return to Play

This week saw the return of all our underage players to the field of play albeit in pods of designated numbers. Thanks to all the coaches and volunteers and covid officers on what was a busy week back ensuring the return to play protocol was being adhered to and safely guided. We have still some outstanding registrations to complete and we ask all parents and guardians to register online with Foireann. 

All underage coaches must be registered. Once coaches are registered, they will be assigned to their team on Foireann. 

All coaches and underage players that have registered so far have been assigned to their team on Foireann (U7, U9, U11, U13, U15, U17). 

Boyle Ladies Club 

With restrictions easing, Boyle Ladies GAA (LGFA) are looking forward to returning to play in the next few weeks. In preparation for Return to Play, Registration is now open for all age groups and this year’s Registration will be completed online using Foireann. All Members will be required to use this system to register for 2021 and all players must be registered before training commences in the coming weeks.
