Professor Niall Moyna to Launch GET ACTIVE TODAY on Friday
Exercise as part of a group makes the activity more enjoyable and it will also motivate you to keep a regular schedule. (www.getirelandactive.ie)
After weeks of careful planning, Boyle GAA are ready to launch the Kelly’s Londis sponsored GET ACTIVE TODAY in King House on Friday 2 October at 7:30pm. The keynote address on the night will be delivered by Niall Moyna of Dublin City University and Operation Transformation fame. Niall is a passionate advocate of the health benefits to be gained from exercise, and we look forward to a very interesting talk.
The seven week exercise programme will commence with a Keep Fit Session in St Joseph’s Boy’s National School on Monday October 4 and participants can look forward to Keep Fit and Circuit sessions, walks, an introduction to Yoga and Pilates and further talks on nutrition and mental well-being. Absolutely everyone, no matter what your current state of readiness might be, is welcome to come along and participate in a programme that will culminate in a 10K walk or jog from Boyle town centre to Lough Key.
The registration fee for the seven week programme is €70. Each participant, on signing up, will receive a range of money-off vouchers which are worth over €100. Our event sponsor Neil Kennedy and Kelly’s Londis is offering everybody who signs up €70 worth of money off vouchers to be used over the seven weeks of the campaign. There are also money off vouchers from Elvery’s, Aura Leisure, Sasta Fitness and Margaret Mcloughlin Homeopathy and Reflexology.
Registration continues in Abbey Park, Boyle on Thursday night, October 1, from 8:30pm while you can also register before and after the launch in King House on Friday evening.
The detailed programme together with a full list of the member benefits is available on www.boylegaa.com
