Boyle GAA Club AGM, Sunday the 3rd of December at 4 pm in the clubrooms. The Club extends a very warm
invitation to all its members and friends of the Club to attend. 2017 has seen
great success for men's football, adult and underage, ladies football
and camogie. Success on the pitch has been complemented by development
work around the grounds, not least the development and extension of our training
grounds, the development of a wonderful gym facility, the completion of a
walking track, an entire make over of our Clubrooms, the dedication of our
stand to JJ Nerney etc. New initiatives like the Nursery Programme, Iar Gaeil, Health and Wellness, involvement in Scor etc are testimony to a
vibrant club. The pictorial representation of the Club's history in the
meeting room is a must see. So come along on Sunday to reflect on a great
year and plan for an even better 2018!”
Our Junior team finished off their campaign with
a very respectable 14 points in their league campaign. Well done to the
team and management.
LADIES
FOOTBALL:
Pride of place goes to the Ladies Minor team who won
the county final on Friday evening, beating Kilbride 2-15 to 2-04. The match
was played under lights on one of the coldest evenings of the year, but a super
team effort produced some great scores and a high standard of football.
Congratulations to the team and management.
At the AGM the following officers were elected:
Chairperson: Noel Scally; Secretary: Bernie Mullins; Treasurer: Cathy Garavan;
Registrar: Sabrina Kerins: Children's Officer: Mary Scally; PRO: Karen Brogan.
2017 was a very successful year for the club at all age levels, with both the
U16s and Minors winning county titles. Thanks to the coaches and all who
supported the teams throughout the year. Thanks to Boyle Today, Realboyle
and The Roscommon Herald for promoting our club. To ensure the continued
success of the club we really need to get more people involved, both coaching
and on the committee. Looking forward to continued success in 2018 and having
lots of new people coming on board.
Sympathy of
the club to the McGuire family on the passing of Bernard, Majella Dodd on the
passing of her brother Anthony and to Pacelli McDermott on the passing of his
brother Sean. May they rest in peace.
