Our
McGovern Directional Drilling Senior team travelled to Strokestown on Friday
evening for a league game against a team who had previously beat us in
Championship. Boyle who are short on numbers through injury at present started
the game brightly through an Enda Smith goal, but it was not long until
Strokestown got there own back. It was a tight game from here on in to the
break as both teams traded points. Half time saw the score board read 1.4 to
1.5 in favour of Boyle. The game was locked at 1.8 a piece until Dylan East
scored Boyles second goal. Boyle did finish the stronger in the final 15 mins
with Enda finding the net again. Boyle finished on the scoreline of 1.12 to
4.9. Congratulations to Jonny Reagan who made his Boyle Senior debut.
The Boyle team was Kearney, Sharkey, Callaghan, Beirne, Flannagan, McKenna,
Fuery, R Hanmore, K Cox, Goldrick, McKeon, East, O Donoghue, D Smith, E
Smith. This now leaves Boyle 3rd in the league win a game of two in hand
of the table toppers Clann
