Update 28th October

Boyle Cooney Motors sponsored junior team are now through to the Junior B championship county final after beating Strokestown in a reply on Saturday afternoon. It was a tight affair for most of the first half with Boyle once again struggling to get scores. However the game opened up in the second half and Boyle pushed on with the help of the bench and eventually ran out 6 points winners. They now face Furety with time and pitch to be decided. Your support will be much appreciated and needed for this county final.

Public Meeting - Termon Lands

FRI NOV 1st. 8.30pm. St Joseph's Hall.

As members will be aware there are plans in place to develop a shared community sports facility at Termon Lands.

The project is a very significant undertaking and has the potential to provide huge benefits to the town. Facilities will include, soccer pitch, GAA pitch, b-ball courts, running track, hurling/handball/tennis wall, tennis courts, playground, sensory area, swimming area.

The next critical stage is the transfer of lands to the community. This transfer of lands must be agreed by means of a public vote. The Dept. of Agriculture will attend this public meeting next Friday. We need large representation to demonstrate our need and support of the transfer of the lands to the community groups. If this is refused or opposed to by a majority the project will not proceed. This is vital for the town.

Please do not assume this project will automatically proceed - it can only progress with your support. Do not leave it to others to do the voting! Everyone must come to support/vote to ensure the project progresses to the next phase.

Boyle GAA therefore urge all who have an interest in seeing the project progress to attend this meeting next Friday.

The Club wish to extend its sympathy to the Daly Family on the passing of Paddy. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis.
A mimutes silence was observed as a mark of respect in Abbey Park today.

Sympathy of the club also to the King family on their recent bereavement.
