It was another busy week
on the playing fields for Boyle teams in all age categories. The U12 Division 4
team lost to St Barrys in the Summer Football League in Tarmonbarry on Friday
last. Their next outing will be a trip to Johnstown to play Clan na Gael in the
next round of this competition at 7.3pm on Thursday. The U12 Division 1 team
played St Ciarans in Fuerty on Monday in Division 1 of the Summer Football
League.
The U14 Division 4 team
is scheduled to play two games in the Division 4 Championship this week. They
are to play Elphin in the Orchard Park at 7.30pm on Tuesday and Clan na Gael in
the Abbey Park on Thursday at 7.30pm.
The James Lannon Tyres
U16s had a good win over Western Gaels in the Abbey Park on Monday last in the
Division 4 Championship.
The National Automation
Limited Minors lost to Oran in Rockfield in the Division 2 Championship on
Thursday last. They will travel to Strokestown on Thursday to take on the home
team at 7.30pm in the next round of this competition.
The U8's hosted a very
successful blitz with Clan na Gael, with over 50 participating
players last Friday at the Abbey College pitch. The
club thanks Michael Brennan and the staff of ACC for allowing the use
of facilities
The Cooney Motors/
Cooney’s Centra Juniors will play Fuerty on this Tuesday at 7.45pm in Mulhern
Park in the Junior B Championship.
The McGovern Directional
Drilling Seniors had a convincing win over Kilmore in Strokestown on Sunday in
the Senior Championship. They will have little time to rest on their laurels as
they will meet St Croans in Hyde Park on Sunday next at 7pm in the next round
of the Senior Championship.
All team managers are
reminded that the training pitch in Abbey Park will be unavailable from
Wednesday until Sunday (both days inclusive) as Circus Corvinni will be staged
thereon.
Sympathy is extended to
the Doory family, (Eire Óg Club) on the death of Niamh.
The Club extends its
congratulations to Club player David Kelly and his bride Lorraine Toman
who were married on Friday last.
Ladies
Well done to Intermediate Ladies who beat Castlerea on
Saturday evening. Sincere thanks to Boyle Credit Union for sponsorship of
Jackets and bags to the Ladies team. The Sean Daly Memorial Cup Final Wednesday
at 7pm in the Abbey Park, Boyle V's Kilmore. Please support the girls. Minors
ladies play Shannon Gaels in Croghan on Tues evening at 7pm.
