The Following were €20 winners in the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in the Moylurg Inn;- Deirdre and Ton Kearney, James and Eilish Goldrick, Tom Commons, Eddie Creighton, Seamus Neary and Rachel Sheerin. The house prize was won by Mary Flynn. The jackpot wasn’t won and it will be at the record figure of €9,400 for next Saturday night’s draw which will be held in Dodds. Team B will be in charge.

It was a week of mixed fortunes on the playing fields. The U14s lost to St Brigids in Kiltoom on Thursday evening last in the Division 4 Championship. They are due to play Elphin in the next round of this competition on Thursday evening at 6.45pm in the Orchard Park.

The James Lannon Tyres U16s lost by an agonising one point margin to a Kilglass Gaels/ St Barrys combination in a very high scoring Division 4 Championship game in Tarmonbarry on Monday evening last. They got back to winning ways on Sunday in the Abbey Park in the next round of the competition when they had a convincing victory over a Western Gaels/ Ballinameen combination.

The McGovern Directional Drilling Seniors had a third consecutive O’Rourke Cup victory when they overcame Elphin in the Abbey Park on Saturday evening last. They now have one game remaining in the league stages of this competition. They will travel to Strokestown on Sunday next to take on Kilmore in the third round of the Senior Championship at 4pm. This is a very important game for the lads and for the Club and we are asking all our supporters to go along and support them. The Club wishes bon voyage to Damien Keenehan who is returning to Australia this week, having played a major role in our recent O’Rourke Cup games. Hopefully we will see him play for Boyle again in the not too distant future.

The U12s are scheduled to play St Barrys in the Summer Football League Division 4 in Tarmonbarry on Saturday next at 12 noon.
The National Automation Limited Minors are scheduled to play Oran in Rockfield on Thursday evening in the Division 2 Championship.
The Cooney Motors/ Cooney’s Centra Juniors will play Michael Glaveys on Wednesday evening at 8pm in the Abbey Park in the Division 5 League. It is anticipated that they will play their next round of the Junior B Championship on Tuesday 11th against Fuerty in Fuerty.
Team managers are advised that the training pitch in the Abbey Park will be unavailable for use on the weekend of 14th/15th/16th August as it will be the venue for a circus.

Ladies: Commiserations to the Roscommon U16 Ladies team but it was a great achievement to reach the All Ireland final. The last round of the Sean Daly Memorial Cup this week, Boyle travel to Kilmore on Tuesday at 7:30pm. Sean Daly Memorial Cup Final in the Abbey Park Sunday 9th August. The Minors are out in the first round against St. Faithleachs Tuesday at 7pm in the Abbey Park.
