The U12s played out an
exciting draw with Strokestown in the Summer Football League Division 1 on
Monday last. They will travel to Johnstown on this Tuesday to play Clan na Gael
in their next outing. The U12 Division 4 team is scheduled to play Kilglass Gaels
on Thursday at 8pm.
The Keenan Cup
competition is about to start and Boyle will play St Croans in Enfield on this
Wednesday at 7.30pm.
The McGovern Directional
Drilling Seniors will play Strokestown in the final group game in the Senior
Championship Section B this coming weekend--see fixtures.
The Club extends its
sympathy to the Fallon family, Ardagh on the death of Connie and to the Cuffe
family on the death of John.
Congratulations are
extended to the Boyle Girls U16 4 X 100 metres relay team of Ruth Cox, Sinead
Glennon, Mary Ellen Halligan and Aoife Valentine on winning bronze medals in
the Community Games National Finals in Athlone at the weekend.
Ladies: The Green Street Veterinary Intermediate Ladies defeated
St. Ciarans on Saturday evening in the Abbey Park. They play Kilglass Gaels on
Tuesday evening in a playoff for semi-final place. The game is at 6:45pm in
Croghan. Please support the girls. Thanks to all who supported the Ros Ladies
Co. Board draw. The first 4 draws will take place on Tuesday evening.
