The following were €20 winners at the most recent Club Lotto
draw which was held in Dodds ;- Dessie McLoughlin, Liam Mullaney, Peter
Gavican, David Monson, Marita McQuaid and Claremorris Scouts. The house prize
was won by Kieran Spellman. The jackpot wasn’t won and it will be at €9,500 for
the next draw which will be held on Saturday night in Bruno’s, with Team E in
charge. Those who wish to be in with a chance of winning this record jackpot
prize may purchase tickets in most businesses in Boyle during the coming
week.
The McGovern Directional Drilling Seniors fought out a very exciting draw
with St Croans in the fourth round of the Senior Championship in Hyde Park on
Sunday. It was a game of fluctuating fortunes and a draw was perhaps a fair
result. They are scheduled to play Strokestown in the final group game of the
Senior Championship this coming weekend.
The Cooney Motors/ Cooney’s Centra Juniors suffered defeat
to Fuerty in Mulhern Park, Fuerty on Tuesday last.
The U14s lost narrowly to Clan na Gael in the Division 4
Championship in the Abbey Park on Thursday.
The James Lannon Tyres minors had an impressive win over
Strokestown in the Division 2 Championship in Strokestown on Friday.
Congratulations are extended to Kieran Supple (a member of
the senior team management) and his wife Victoria, on the birth of their
daughter Pippa.
The Club extends its thanks to the mentors and parents who
helped in many ways to make Saturday’s U8 Football Blitz in the Abbey Park such
an outstanding success.
LADIES FOOTBALL
The Green Street Veterinary Clinic Intermediate Ladies will
host St Ciarans on Saturday in the final round of the group section of the
Intermediate Championship on Saturday at 7pm in the Abbey Park.
The Minor Girls will play Strokestown in the Abbey Park at
7pm on Thursday. They lost to Shannon Gaels in Croghan on Friday
last.
The U14 Girls will play Eire Óg in Division A of the
Championship in the Abbey Park at 7pm on Wednesday and they will travel to
Kilbride to play the home side on Sunday next at 6pm.
